The solution can be extended to monitoring of other areas and assets also for overheating and fire prevention.

The technology is simple, the fibre optic cable acts as temperature sensor and is run through all the switchgear, busbars, bus ducts and all the probable places where there is a risk of overheating. The fibre optic cable is able to detect the rise in temperature at any point on the cable and is able to give exact temperature and distance. Advanced analytics software creates a map and heat profile of complete assets under test which helps in pinpointing the exact point of failure.
